Description

The cornflower is a wild flower of the fields, simple and free, growing at the edge of the wheat. This cotton pareo grey and red keeps that country spirit: a light motif of field flowers set on a soft grey ground and lifted with red, in a natural composition that is easy to wear all summer.

Each piece is hand block-printed on light cotton, in the artisan workshops of our partners in India, where the craft is handed down through generations. Every impression carries the small variations of the gesture, the mark of a genuinely handmade textile rather than an industrial print. The design is created in France, in the warm, country spirit of the house.

Its fabric makes all the difference. The cotton is fine, fluid and soft against the skin, it dries quickly after a swim and folds down small in a beach bag. Tie it at the waist over a swimsuit, over the shoulders against the sun, or as a wrap dress for dinner on the terrace.

The grey makes it easy to match, with natural straw, a plain swimsuit and leather sandals, while the red of the flowers gives it its energy. It is a country piece, easy to wear from morning to evening.

Care

General care instructions for artisan-printed cotton table linen:

Machine wash at 30°C or 40°C maximum, on a gentle cycle, to help preserve the colours.
Do not use bleach or whitening products.
Avoid fabric softener, as it may dull the colours over time.
Iron on the reverse side of the fabric at a moderate temperature (cotton/wool setting) to preserve the vibrancy of the print.
Air dry preferably in the shade; avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which may cause the colours to fade.
