Description
Some motifs almost smell of Provence. This table runner pink is one of them: sprigs of lavender and light butterflies drawn on a soft pink ground, in a delicate composition that recalls the fields in flower at the start of summer.
Each piece is hand block-printed on good-quality cotton, in the artisan workshops of our partners in India, where block printing has been handed down through generations. Every impression carries the small variations of the gesture, the mark of a genuinely handmade textile rather than an industrial print. The design is created in France, in the soft, country spirit dear to the house.
Laid on bare wood, this runner softens the timber and draws a light band down the centre of the table. Over a white or natural tablecloth, it adds a tender note of colour and structures the setting. Outdoors, on a shaded terrace table, it comes into its own on long summer evenings.
This table runner pink is made for real use. The cotton is hard-wearing and machine washable, it grows softer with time while keeping its colour, and it takes summer lunches and family meals without fuss. Washed at thirty degrees and ironed while still slightly damp, it keeps its shape and its soft tone.
It works with white china, linen and pale, natural materials, and asks for almost nothing around it beyond a few glasses and a sprig of lavender. You can pair it with the matching Lavender Butterfly napkins and tablecloth to compose the whole table around one motif.
Left alone on a wooden table, it carries a whole summer atmosphere on its own.
An artisanal, poetic and hard-wearing piece of table linen, for anyone who likes tables with grace and a hint of the South.
